Jasmin Bobyk - Founder

Jasmin has over 18 years experience training students in classical ballet. She has travelled to ballet schools and companies across Europe including The Royal Ballet School, The Royal Ballet Company and The Birmingham Royal Ballet Company for education and training.
At 18, Jasmin founded Mosman Dance Academy which has grown into one of Sydney’s most successful dance schools. In 2011 Jasmin founded Sydney Ballet School, a full-time classical ballet training school, to prepare young ballet dancers for a career in classical ballet. Since then her students have won major international and local classical ballet competitions and have been accepted into The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School.

Celine Bobyk - Classical Ballet | Contemporary | Private Coaching

Miss Celine has studied classical ballet since the age of three and trained with MDA for over 10 years. She has studied RAD classical ballet, Cecchetti ballet, contemporary, Martha Graham contemporary, jazz and hip hop. She has completed all RAD examinations up to and including Advanced 2 with distinction. Miss Celine also had the valuable experience of studying classical ballet full time and travelled Europe auditioning at prestige ballet and contemporary schools. Junior soloists and groups trained by Miss Celine have won local competitions and eisteddfods including two gold, two silver and two bronze medals at this years Sydney Eisteddfod.

 
Kate Hooper - Classical Ballet | Private Coaching

Miss Kate has danced since the age of three and was one of Miss Jasmin’s first students when MDA began in 2000. She has completed all of her RAD examinations up to and including Advanced 1 and has received gold, silver and bronze medals at the Sydney Eisteddfod. Miss Kate was also a semi finalist of the RAD Isobel Anderson Award and is currently completing a Bachelor of Primary Education at Sydney University.

 

 
Winnie Ng - Classical Ballet | Lyrical | Adults | Private Coaching

Miss Winnie began dancing at three years of age and continued for fifteen years. In that time she won competitions such as Northern Beaches & the McDonald’s Performing Arts Challenge in Ballet, Character & Contemporary. At 14 she passed her RAD Advanced Two examination to receive her ARAD. Winnie began her professional training at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, under the tutelage of Balanchine’s prime dancer, Melissa Hayden, and former American Ballet Theatre soloists.

 
Jean Law - Classical Ballet

Miss Jean Law studied full time classical ballet and was accepted into The Royal Ballet School in London where she achieved her RAD Solo Seal Award. After dancing professionally in Germany, Miss Jean returned to Australia to gain her teaching qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance. With over 20 years teaching experience, Miss Jean has developed a beautiful creative dance programme for preschoolers to introduce them to the wonderful world of dance.

 

 
Vanessa Bobyk - Classical Ballet

Miss Vanessa began dancing at age three and studied classical ballet achieving distinction in her Royal Academy of Dance examinations up to and including elementary level. Miss Vanessa performed and competed in local eisteddfods in classical ballet, demi-character and national character solos. She has completed a Bachelors degree in Economics and is currently studying for her degree in high school teaching.

 

Mikayla Unwin - Classical Ballet | Private Coaching

Miss Mikayla moved from New Zealand in 2008 to study ballet at The McDonald College in Sydney. She started Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary & Lyrical at a very young age. In 2012 she began training full time at Sydney Ballet School under the guidance of Jasmin & Paris Bobyk. Mikayla has competed in many eisteddfods in Sydney and New Zealand and was a Royal Academy of Dance Isobel Anderson finalist. Mikayla has completed her RAD Ballet Exams with distinction and was awarded her ARAD in 2015.

Sari Ferreira - Jazz | Lyrical

Miss Sari began dancing at three years old, focusing primarily on Ballet and Jazz. She grew into the type of dancer that craves challenge, and so she went to take on Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Russian Character. Miss Sari studied some of the best dance schools in Brisbane, Sydney, and America; including the Queensland Dance School of Excellence with the Queensland Ballet, and Brent Street Studios. Since completing her Diploma in Dance and a Certificate IV in Performing Arts, Sari has gone on to perform professionally with some of Australia and America's top choreographers.

 

   
Shannon Riley - Jazz

Miss Shannon has been trained extensively in all aspects of dance since the age of eight years old. She completed her Performing Arts training at Brent Street graduating in 2011 and has taught dance for over 5 years including competition groups. Her Television & TVC appearances include: Dancer on A Place to Call Home – Seven Network Operations, Featured extra in 'The Great Gatsby' Film directed by Baz Luhrmann, Dancer for Olivia Newton John at AACTA choreographed by Jason Gilkison, Dancer for Young Talent Time Australia choreographed by Emmanuel Carella and many more.

Rhiannon Villareal - Hip Hop

Miss Rhiannon needs no introduction! She is a super energetic dancer, singer, actor and Choreographer. Rhiannon's career highlights include being one of the Top 4 girls on Channel TENs series 1 of Australia’s So You Think You Can Dance, appearing on stage with world class acts such as Michael Jackson, Kelly Clarkson & Australia’s very own Jessica Mauboy, featuring in TV commercials for brands as big as Optus Australia and even releasing pop music as a solo unsigned artist. Miss Rhiannon has taught dance all over Australia for over 8yrs including Sydney Dance Company, Brent Street Studios as well as other major schools in Melbourne, Queensland, Perth & ACT.

Daniel Dolling - Acro | Jazz Technique  
Daniel is a highly sort after professional entertainer whose diverse range of skills have led him to perform, choreograph and teach all over the world. As well as performing in many musicals, concerts, cruise ships & corporate events, his training as an aerial artist in Las Vegas has taken him from being featured solo performer on board Royal Caribbean's 'Voyager of the Seas' to performing in the multi award winning production of "Mystic Rhythms" at Tokyo Disney Resort. For the past 5 years Daniel has based himself solely in Sydney, Australia and in that time has established himself as highly regarded teacher and choreographer. After receiving his teachers certificate in S.A.T.D & B.B.O syllabuses in tap & jazz at the age of 16 he has since had the opportunity to teach every beginner to advanced level student from age 4 to 60 at studios including Sydney Dance Company and The University of NSW. Daniel is a highly motivated and passionate teacher who not only wishes to pass on the skills and attributes needed to forge a successful career in the entertainment industry but who will encourage you to never loose sight of the simple joy performing can bring to yourself and others.
   
Emma Lee Byrnes - Acro | Jazz  

Miss Emma began dance and gymnastics at the age of four. For the first four years of her gymnastics career she participated in many state competitions in women’s artistic gymnastics incorporating both gymnastics skills and dance.  At the age of ten, Emma toured Australia with the The Great China Circus which allowed her to work with her sporting idols and introduced her to the sub-discipline of acrobatics. At eleven she began competing in acrobatics making it to six consecutive National Championships and ranking first, second and third on numerous occasions and at age of fourteen was chosen to trial for the World Acrobatic Championships. It was also at age fourteen when Miss Emma pursued her desire to teach her skills to other students of gymnastics and dance and has continiued her teaching passion for over 8 years.

Mark Kruiz - Tap | Boys Jaz/Funk/Hip Hop | Private Coaching

Mr Mark is an accomplished dancer, performing professionally in ballet, jazz, tap and hip-hop. Mark has trained in musical theatre completing a Certificate III in Theatre and Screen Performance. Mark is currently studying a Bachelor of Music majoring in musical theatre at the Australian Institute of Music. Mr Mark has consistently achieved high marks for his Glenn Wood Tap examination students with an average result in 2013 of 96.2%.
