Miss Jasmin
Principal & Founder
Jasmin has over 24 years experience training students in classical ballet. She has travelled to ballet schools and companies across Europe including The Royal Ballet School, The Royal Ballet Company and The Birmingham Royal Ballet Company for education and training. She has also served on the Royal Academy of Dance Regional Advisory Panel for over 2 years.
At 18, Jasmin founded Mosman Dance Academy which has grown
into one of Sydney’s most successful dance schools. In 2011 she founded Sydney Ballet School, a full-time classical ballet training school, to prepare young ballet dancers for a career in classical ballet. Since then her students have won major international and local classical ballet competitions and have been accepted into The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, The Dutch National Ballet Academy, Queensland Ballet School, Zurich Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School. Jasmin’s passion and dedication to her students enables them to achieve the highest standards in technicality, musicality and artistry.

Miss Emma
Classical Ballet, Private Coaching
Miss Emma started ballet at a very young age and studied full time from the age of fifteen. In 2010 Emma toured Europe auditioning for vocational and accepted a position at the Royal Conservatoire of the Hague under the direction of Vim Broekx. At the conservatoire Emma was trained under ex soloist of the Paris Opera Ballet Pierre Darde. Miss Emma had the privilege of performing such pieces as 'Jewels' by George Balanchine, Over Grown Path by Juri Kylian, she performed at festival Classique
dancing 'planets' by Thom Stuart and performed with a junior company ' De Dutch Dance Division' in a soloist roll of their production of 'Abdullah'. Emma is a qualified Royal Academy of Dance teacher after completing her certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies in 2017.

Mr Robert
Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Private Coaching
Born in Sydney, Robert Bruist trained pre-professionally in Europe at the Heinz Bosl Stiftung in Munich, Germany. He went on to become Soloist in both the Croatian National Ballet Zagreb and the Leipziger Ballet (Germany) dancing both classical and contemporary choreographies by world renowned choreographers. Robert returned to Australia in 2019 joining the West Australian Ballet performing solo roles in both “in Light and Shadow” by Krzysztof Pastor and “Air and other invisible forces” by
Graeme Murphy. He also created his own choreography for the Genesis season called “Polarity” before retiring from the stage in 2020 to follow his passion for teaching. As a Classical & Contemporary teacher at the he has helped multiple students achieve placements into finishing schools in Australia and aboard. While also teaching at school’s all over Sydney, including Sydney Dance Company. Mr Robert is one of the first fully qualified Rambert Grade’s contemporary teachers in Australia.

Miss Tessa
Classical Ballet, Lyrical, Private Coaching
Miss Tessa started ballet at age 3 and began training at Mosman Dance Academy in 2011. She has completed all of her RAD examinations and achieved distinctions in all examinations up to Advanced 1. At the age of 8, Tessa was accepted into the Australian Ballet School interstate training program and continued in this program for 5 years. She has competed as a soloist in various competitions such as Sydney Eisteddfod and has won multiple awards for classical ballet, demi- character, contemporary and lyrical. Miss Tessa has always been passionate about dance, and always wants to share her love of dance with her students.

Miss Bianca
Jazz, Private Coaching, Choreography
Miss Bianca has trained in all styles of competitive dance for over a decade in New York USA. Bianca moved to Sydney in 2021 and completed her accelerated HSC dance certificate, receiving a band 6 mark and callback nomination. Following this she completed a undergraduate qualification in dance, and studied to become an Acrobatic Arts instructor. Miss Bianca is registered to teach Acro Arts from pre school up untill pre professional 2. Additionally, Bianca teaches a wide variety of dance styles, and is a certified and
practicing Pilates instructor. Miss Bianca is passionate about teaching students proper alignment and technique, so they are able to support their bodies and passions for years to come.

Miss Mary
Hip Hop, Jazz, Private Coaching, Choreography
Miss Mary is a passionate and experienced dance teacher with a diverse background in various styles. Her training includes Balgowlah North School of Dance, Redlands Ballet Academy, and Brooke Henderson Dance School, and she currently attends open classes at Sydney Dance Company. From 2018-2022, she taught at Monsters of Dance, instructing students aged 0-18 in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre. She also provided private lessons and choreographed solos/duos, following
RAD and Monsters Tap syllabi. Beyond teaching, Miss Mary is a talented fashion designer with a deep interest in creativity. She loves exploring the intersection of her artistic passions and her teaching, bringing a unique and dynamic approach to her classes.

Mr Mark
Tap, Private Coaching
Mr Mark is an accomplished dancer, performing professionally in ballet, jazz, tap and hip-hop. Mark has trained in musical theatre completing a Certificate III in Theatre and Screen Performance. Mark is currently studying a Bachelor of Music majoring in musical theatre at the Australian Institute of Music. Mr Mark consistently achieves high results for his Glenn Wood Tap examination students and encourages all dancers to experience the wonderful world of tap!

Miss Sofia
Classical Ballet, Private Coaching
Miss Sofia’s journey in the world of dance began at the age of two. Her dedication to dance and artistry flourished at Mosman Dance Academy and Sydney Ballet School, where she not only mastered the RAD syllabus but also earned distinctions in every examination up to Advanced 2. Over the years, she has earned numerous awards at competitive levels, excelling as a soloist in classical ballet, demi-character, and contemporary, while also contributing to the eisteddfod teams for over a decade.
Miss Sofias talent has been recognized in prestigious competitions, including the Joan-Monica Halliday Awards and the Isobel Anderson Awards, where she competed as both a semi-finalist and finalist between 2016 and 2018. Alongside her classical training, Miss Sofia has developed a deep passion for musical theatre, where she helped to choreograph for beloved productions such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Miss Sofia continues to hone her expertise with the Sydney Dance Company, engaging in a diverse range of classes across classical ballet, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, and Broadway jazz. Miss Sofia has alway loved performing and hopes to continue encouraging younger generations to find their love of dance.

Miss Paris

Paris has over 15 years experience in training students in classical ballet and contemporary. Paris holds a Bachelors Degree in Design, and has project managed theatrical and fashion events nationally winning industry awards. She is MDA's head costume and graphic designer. Paris has travelled to European ballet schools where she gained experience and training for classical
teaching. In 2011 Paris co-founded Sydney Ballet School with sister Jasmin Bobyk and has trained students who have been accepted into The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, The Dutch National Ballet Academy, Queensland Ballet School, Zurich Ballet School and The Australian Ballet School. Her attention to detail, creativity and choreography enable her students to achieve their personal best and experience international standards in classical and contemporary choreography.

Miss Celine

Miss Celine has studied classical ballet since the age of three and trained with MDA for over 10 years. She has studied RAD classical ballet, Cecchetti ballet, contemporary, Martha Graham contemporary, jazz and hip hop. She has completed all RAD examinations up to and including Advanced 2 with distinction. Miss Celine also had the valuable experience of
studying classical ballet full time and travelled Europe auditioning at prestige ballet and contemporary schools. Junior soloists and groups trained by Miss Celine have won local competitions and eisteddfods including two gold, two silver and two bronze medals at this years Sydney Eisteddfod.

Miss Heidi

Heidi Blackburn moved to the Gold Coast at 14 to study classical ballet full-time under RAD examiner and doyen of ballet Prudence Bowen. In 2016, Heidi founded Atelier Australia, a boutique studio that became one of the most successful schools in South/East Queensland. She has had students compete in and reach the finals of international ballet competitions such as the Prix de Lausanne, Genee International Ballet Competition (now known at The
Fonteyn International Ballet Competition) and the Alana Haines Australasian Awards. Her students have gone on to train at the Royal Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, English National Ballet School, John Cranko Schule, Australian Ballet School, Queensland Ballet Academy, Brussels International Ballet School, Orlando Ballet School and the New Zealand School of Dance.

Miss Arisa

Miss Arisa began her training at Mosman Dance Academy in 2005. During her time at the school she achieved a distinction in all of her RAD examinations and was awarded her Solo Seal. She was also accepted into the Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program at the age of eight and was later offered a scholarship to the school in 2013. The following year she attended the Royal
Ballet Summer Intensive. Arisa was a two time semi finalist at the Genée International Competition and a finalist at the Japan Grand Prix. After graduating from Sydney Ballet School in 2016, she would continue her training with the Alberta Ballet School. There she completed Advanced 2 in the Cechetti method and had the chance to perform in the Alberta Ballet Company’s production of The Sleeping Beauty. This year she graduated from their Post Graduate Program.

Miss Naomi

Naomi started ballet at Mosman Dance Academy when she was 5 years old and commenced full time training at Sydney Ballet School in 2014. At the age of 8, she was accepted into the Australian Ballet School’s Interstate Training Program. Naomi has won numerous awards in competitions in Classical, Contemporary and Demi-character dance. She received the Tessa Maunder Encouragement Award for the most promising female of the year
in 2013. She also received the Sydney Eisteddfod Robert and Elizabeth Albert Junior Classical Ballet Scholarship as the runner-up in 2013 and winner in 2014. In 2014 she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School’s International Summer School and was also a finalist at the Japan Grand Prix where she received scholarships to prestigious ballet schools in Europe. Naomi was also selected as a candidate for the Prix de Lausanne in 2014 and 2015. She has achieved high distinctions in all of her Royal Academy of Dance Vocational Examinations up to Advanced 1.
